Day 2
Skills
The things you have learned how to do, and the skills you have learned in your life are probably of a very wide
variety. Take a few minutes to think through some of the things that you learned to do throughout your life,
then grab your pen and jot five them down.

Talents
You have several talents, some of which you may not always see or understand. Talents are those things which
you can practice to make better but you have always had a knack for, and things that come easily to you (or
just more quickly than most people). Think through all the things you can do, all of your talents, pick five of
them that stand out to you and write them down.

Journal Time
Take some time to read through these Scriptures, and take note of things that stick out to you
Psalm 19
Matthew 10:29-31
1 Corinthians 1:26-29
Acts 20:24
2 Corinthians 12:9
Journal over the following questions:
1. What have I discovered about me, my talents and skills?
2. Using my talents and skills is a part of personal growth, how do I envision my skills and talents in pursuit of
Christ-likeness?
3. As I look at the skills and talents I have, and the experiences that have shaped me, what are a few of the
ways I have used my skills and talents to pull me through?
4. After I read the suggested Scripture passages, and reflecting on my skills and talents, I see myself...
5. Do you have an accountability partner? If so, share your thoughts on these things with him or her, and
spend some time in prayer over what you have discovered. If not, find someone you are willing to talk to and
share your thoughts with him or her.
