"HAWE do church" has a history of ministry.

HAWE do church really began in 2000.

Back then, a group of three young women decided to start a mentoring group for young ladies
while they were full-time college students. These young women worked with Student Venture,
which is part of Campus Crusade for Christ, and began by mentoring some of the younger
ladies attending the area Student Venture group. After a year, the mentoring group began to
grown and took on a life of its own. It became obvious that this mentoring program was a
much-needed respite for the promising high-school girls of the area. The young women
involved in the mentoring program took a vote, and decided to call the mentoring group
"
FLUFF Ministries". FLUFF (standing for Females Living Under the Faithful Father) Ministries
grew and from 2000-2010 more than 200 young women have participated in this intensive
mentoring program. Many of the young women who participated in FLUFF Ministries are now in
leadership positions in intensive youth and adult ministries throughout the world, several of
them even began their own ministries in areas where youth had no connection to other
Christ-followers.

In 2007, FLUFF Ministries staff began to see that the need to mentor and connect young
people with the body of Christ was much greater than just the young women participating in the
mentoring program. After much prayer, a decision was made to expand beyond ministering
solely to young women and a new adventure was born. 1 Timothy Ministries aimed to meet the
needs of  parents and connect young people and families to area churches. The staff visited
area churches and connected with several leaders and small groups to assist families and
college students in finding a church that was right for them. Over 75 families were connected
with churches and youth groups across the United States through this ministry.

In 2009, 1 Timothy Ministries staff began to feel the need to revise the mission and become
more connected with area ministries. The needs of the youth and families in the area were
changing rapidly, the staff began to feel it was necessary to develop a broader vision and
clarify the focus FLUFF Ministries and 1 Timothy Ministries. After a year of re-building and
re-focusing, FLUFF Ministries and 1 Timothy Ministries merged to give birth to 'HAWE do
church' and put aside the differences between them to serve the body of Christ more
effectively.

HAWE do church was born of the passion to change the face of the local church, and to help
others become connected with the body around the world.

Our vision is simple really. We want to connect families and individuals to the freedom there is
in Christ. We want to connect people to the resources available to them to assist them in
growing in their relationship with Christ. We want to step alongside those who are in ministry
and encourage them. We want to redefine the way the rest of the world looks at 'church.' We
want to walk alongside others as they grow in their relationship with Christ. And we want to walk
alongside others as we grow in our own relationships with Christ.

Currently HAWE does not have a 'fixed' location - other than the website. At this time, we are
meeting for coffee and conversation, consultation, and connection at local homes, restaurants,
and parks. In a negative way, this keeps us from connecting with you. However, in a  positive
way it helps us to develop connections across the city. Would we like to have a 'home' for our
ministry? Absolutely! And we are working to find funding, staff, and a location as we go.

We wont let the lack of a 'fixed' location keep us from ministering to you. You are our ministry.
Do you have a need? Let us connect you to ministries and services in your area!
Do you want to get involved? Let us know how you would like to get involved!!

And stick around, we are just getting started!!
This is.....
