POSITION DESCRIPTION
TITLE: Program Development Intern
AGE REQUIREMENT: 19-40 years of age
ACCOUNTABLE TO: 1TM Local Director
PROGRAM DEVELOPMENT POSITION
The Leadership of Family Connections take their positions very seriously, and are expected to retain a growing
relationship with Christ and with each other. Because of the emphasis this ministry places on fellowship and the
importance of individual and corporate growth, every person in a Leadership position is required to be involved
in a relationship of accountability and have regular times of individual study. The Program Development Intern
of Family Connections should have the ability and willingness to assist the 1TM Local Director with researching
family assistance options, and development of the overall Family Connections program.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES (Minimum commitment of 1 semester, hours negotiable)
Assist the Local Director with
• Researching family needs
• Developing strategy to meet family needs
• Implementing strategic programs online and in other forms
Responsibility to
• Meet as needed with Local Director
• Contact organizations per Local Directors’s request
• Plan programs to meet family needs
• Package materials and updating website
• Other responsibilities as needed
REQUIREMENTS, SKILLS, GIFTS, OR TALENTS
• Must be a receiver of Salvation
• Must have excellent people skills
• Must agree to uphold the standards, terms, and conditions of Family Connections
• Must be willing to research, study, and write programs
• Must be willing to interact on a personal level with a variety of care issues
• Must be willing to grow personally, in ministry, and professionally
• Must have at least one year of successful college education in a compatible concentration
• Must have at least one year experience in a related field
• Must be able to generally self-organize and manage time well
• Mentoring or research experience preferred
CREDENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
• Copy of transcripts from attended college
• Documented proof of previous experience in related field (letter of recommendation from previous
supervisor will suffice)
• At least thee non-related references
